IdeaEconomics was initially founded and created in August of 2021. The purpose and mission of IdeaEconomics is dedicated to providing financial literacy for everyone. Many of us did not learn the importance of financial literacy or financial education when we were in school. Often, we learn from our families, surroundings, and what we see in the media. IdeaEconomics is passionate about breaking through that barrier to help educate people on these topics: taxes, stocks, credit, the rich, financial strategies, the basics with finances, and much more. Aaliyah Cotton is the founder and CEO of IdeaEconomics. Her goal is to create companies that allow everyone to become financially literate and start their journey towards financial independence. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications & International Business at the University of Arizona. Aaliyah has over five years of experience working in the financial industry and received a license in life insurance. She is attending the Harvard Business School and is earning a certificate in Business Analytics, Economics for Managers & Financial Accounting. In addition, she is the Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit organization Cherrybee Inc., which provides free financial education and resources across the United States. She is passionate about traveling, dining at new restaurants, and reading fantasy & sci-fi novels.
